After designing the layout of this living room, we went furniture shopping with the homeowners. Just like all couples, he liked one while she liked another. Instead of playing favorites or turning this into a fight, we quickly turned this difference in opinion into the design theme, "mix and match!" The two sofas that were selected anchor the room, and the surrounding furniture pieces and accessories, some new and some old, some modern and some ethnic, created this one of a kind look. One thing they both agreed on though was their love for colors. Their long time family friend gifted them a colorful wall painting, and it quickly became the color scheme for this room. The painting captures the beautiful views from this exquisite Berkeley Hills home.
